Blipster: Crapware at its finest.

A story I found at unitethecows

“The Blipster software, released by a group called ADLnow.com, is a badly written HTTP interface, created in Visual Basic 5.

Although it claims to use a unique protocol, with special technologies, to search many networks, it does in fact steal results from another site (www.mp3miracle.com). Of course, it doesn’t steal their banner ads too… no, the banners on the program are served by ADLnow.

Our advice, downloading this program is suicide. Just use above website, and you will get exactly the same results, and the banners you will see will go towards helping the site, not some lame piggybacking application.

Every search query you make using this app is logged by ADLnow. “
