DICE is a hybrid server that offers simultaneous connectivity from IRC clients and opennap clients.
DICE version 0.2 was released (12/21/2002)
What’s new:
+ Removed dependency to MS SQL Server
Apparently setup getting easier.
Its platform is Windows2000/XP, if you own high-bandwidth line you can begin an opennap server with it and can get decent IRC server at the same time, without switching to IRC from opennap for chat, sounds not bad deal
You can try it online, at
irc.scenecritique.com:8888 (Connect with opennap client, such as WinMX/xnap/…)
irc.scenecritique.com:6667 (Connect with IRC client, such as mIRC/BitchX/…)
and you’ll know what it is like WinMX and mIRC can chat one another in one channel. (This particular network give opennap search only for those in channels, so beware)
