“This release may improve reliability of the program. Also, I’ve modified the behavior of Ultrapeer promotion introduced in 0.682. The option to enable Ultrapeer promotion is totally disabled for modem users. Also, Ultrapeer promotion is now disabled on Java 1.3.1 systems since it merely exacerbates the instability of 1.3.1. This is not yet reflected in the GUI.
Also, you should now see 4 star results, correcting a long-standing bug where 3 was the maximum number of stars a file could get. This was because LimeWire really only rates files on a 3-star scale. The fourth star is my own and is added to 3-star results that are hosted on high-bandwidth hosts, under the presumption that high bandwidth hosts will be somewhat more available than lower speed hosts. My dabbling in this area may have also fixed a crashing bug associated with the result pane.
I also fixed the drawer wobble bug where the text in the drawer would wobble by a pixel or less when the search arrows were animating. A strange bug, indeed.
Again, like the previous releases, the optimal platform for this is Java 1.4.1.”
This build works really well.
