Shareaza 1.7.0.16 Released

Shareaza 1.7.0.16 is out now, with some cool new features:

There are a whole lot of changes, and I can’t remember them all because I’m too lazy to write a change log, but I remember these:



- New and improved media player:

— Audio visualisation plugins

— Media remote control toolbar

— Preview all segments of partially downloaded movies, not just the first one

— Supports OGG if you have the filters installed

— Plugin SDK out soon




- Major network improvements:

— New connection manager allows much better and more reliable control over your connections to Gnutella2 and Gnutella1

— Serious search improvements which will become apparent when everyone upgrades

— Better discovery system support, in good situations connects in 10 seconds or less

— Set bandwidth limits per connection or for a whole type of connection




- Browse user improvements:

— You can now browse virtual folders remotely! Very cool.

— Now works with Gnucleus (I think)




- General search UI improvements:

— Filtering results now works like it is supposed to again

— You can now delete search results by pressing DEL

— Easy access Browse button




- File transfer improvements:

— Fixed problems with push hammering

— Fixed problems with excessive requests to a common target (I hope)




- All new and improved image viewer plugin:

— Now features zoom and scroll for larger images

— New context menu and control toolbar

— Views incomplete images as they download

— Source released soon




- Library fixes:

— Fixed crash when changing views on some folders

— All files now put into all files folder.. heh

— Fixed schema type filtering which was slightly illogical

— Fixed disk head weirdness when updating metadata

— Fixed dimension scanning in JPEG files (width and height were reversed)

— Calculate average bitrate for OGGs instead of nominal bitrate




- General improvements:

— More languages (note languages are still works in progress)

— Monitor bar doesn’t lose its position when minimised and connecting to networks

— More colour defs in skin architecture for better control over some new areas

— Plugin SDK out soon
