Amnesty said communist-run China had detained or imprisoned at least 33 people in the last three years for their Internet use. Three of them died in detention, the group said.
One of the longest sentences, 11 years, was handed down in August to former policeman Li Dawei for downloading “anti-revolutionary” materials.”
