Initial Arguments are due to be heard in the ‘FastTrack case’ on Monday. It is expected that the arguments will focus on whether the US court has the right to tell Sharman Networks who are
based in Australia what to do. As stated here this will determine if the Bern Convention can cause US copyright law to become “world copyright law”.
The court still also has to hear arguments from Streamcast Networks over it’s request to be declared legitimate and unstoppable.
The ‘Fasttrack case’ is an ongoing lawsuit by the RIAA and MPAA against those currently or previously associated with the FastTrack network. The RIAA are also involved in litigation against Madster and Verizon.
