New XoloX version released.
Changes in v1.12
- Duplicate packets on Gnutella connections are measured. Connections are dropped when they reach more then 100 dups in 30 sec.
- Downloadhosts with local IP numbers are pushed immediately. (older versions tried to reach them directly first).
- LocalIP numbers are not added to the gnutella client hostlist. This will speed up the connection procedure.
- Added a feature to manually add a gnutella host.
- Shared files are threaded per shared directory.Win 98 and older machines will automaticly be rescanned every hour. WinNT and newer will threadscan recursively.
- Researching Query’s are not shown. Resulting in more clean interface.
- Extentions added by sharing and searching (RAR,ACE,PCX,PDF,PS,TGA,TIF,OGG)
- Clock removed. Why was it there anyway?
- Initial connection information in statusbar is more informative. (shows reminder hostlist).
- initialhost routine changed. XoloX now tries to find a feasible host from its own hostlist. When this fails, the standard hosts machines will be queried.
- local incoming connections are allowed :-> All incoming acceptions are accepted. Even local loops. The Dup-packet function combined with the direct-push of local addresses should do the trick.
We would like to thank you for all your support and tips.
Keep up the good work !!
In a couple of days, version 1.11 will automaticly upgrade to 1.12
