pTrack v2 released

The latest version of pTrack, formerly known as pseudoTrack, has now been released. For Kazaa and Grokster, this version includes an integral download accelerator (possibly the only one to ignore paused downloads) and new Pause All, Resume All, Find more sources for All commands accessible from a handy new tray menu.

IMPROVED Profile Management:

pTrack allows you to create any number of individual profiles to use with Kazaa, Grokster or iMesh. Each profile can have different download folders, shared folders and download filters. New to this release is the ability to view, rename, move, copy and open shared files from within the program.

IMPROVED Download Folder Information:

pTrack provides a full list of every file in your download folder. Incomplete downloads (dat files) are shown alongside their eventual filename and target download folder. Files can be renamed, moved, copied or opened using menu options from within the program. Completed downloads and files downloading to a different folder are now colour coded for easier recognition.

NEW Intelligent Download Acceleration:

Fed up with your standard accelerator resuming your paused downloads? The new pTrack auto-sourcing component is intelligent – it never restarts your paused downloads, it remembers that you switched it on, and it spreads out re-source requests for each download to avoid flooding the network and wasting your bandwidth.

NEW Client Controls:

Send commands to your FastTrack client to pause ALL download, resume ALL downloads or find more sources for ALL downloads with a single click of the mouse. You can even start and close your FastTrack client.

IMPROVED Download Filtering:

Any number of wildcard filters can be created to move downloaded files into different folders as soon as they are completed.

NEW Tray Menu:

pTrack now has a handy icon in the system tray. From here you can access the FastTrack client controls, switch the filters on and off, turn the accelerator on and off, show and hide the main pTrack window and start and close your FastTrack client.

IMPROVED File and Folder Hashing:
With a single click, pTrack can export details of your shared files into a web page which includes embedded file hash data. When this page is viewed by another pTrack user they can add your files to their download queue simply by clicking on the filename. Sig2dat quicklinks are also supported. New to this release is the ability to copy hashes from one or more files directly into the clipboard.
