RIAA Meeting Stormed by Pirates!

Joel Flatow is a senior vice-president of artist and industry relations for the RIAA. The RIAA have been pretty active on campuses recently as part of their piracy education programme and Joel Flatow was holding another anti P2P rant with Yale Students last October 10. The start of the get together didn’t really go to plan for Joel Flatow. A bunch of students dressed up as pirates stormed the meeting …

Disguised as “music pirates,” they marched into the room, brandishing plastic swords and shouting “Argh!” They also distributed burned music CDs with a mix of hits by popular artists including Missy “Misdemeanor” Elliott, Outkast, and the Beatles, as well as many illegal remixes by oft-sued prankster Freelance Hellraiser.
