Chip, made a clear cut statement that if any person distributed beta 2, the beta3 would be delayed for an extensive amount of time. This could have been avoided, and beta3 would have been out to everyone, regardless of being beta tester or not, in only a few days. But of course, there are your usual “I don’t care” and they now extended the amount of time the public will have to wait for beta3.
To be specific, users named Sixgunnzz and DarkManx were responsible for the distribution at napsterites.org. Don’t attempt to download beta 2 as now the link is dead, so there is no point to do so.
In the Dietk chats, located at www.dietk.com/chat.php, the title for the IRC chat room read “DK beta3 will be delayed for a long time thanks to Sixgunnzz and Darkmanx” as opposed to before which read “DK beta2 is out to beta testers. Please don’t distribute beta 2, or beta3 (which should be done in a few days) will be delayed for a long time”
Once again, me and thousands of others who were eager for beta3 to come out “THANK” (sarcasm, of course) those responsible for what they’ve done!
