Hewlett Packard will be releasing a PC that will hold many characteristics of a TV. They will be integrated with a new Windows OS, which will be Windows XP Media Center.
The HP Media Center comes with a remote control, television tuner, and can record and play television shows and digital music, not to mention the usual ability to play DVDs and store digital photos.
This system will be nice because it will have everything into one PC, instead of having it like today and buying different components to make up a system like this.
The remote control feature will also be a cool new thing that will help us all become a lot lazier. It’ll be nice though, to sit back in your room and get the remote to turn on the PC. Then just play MP3s and turn up the volume, etc.
The HP Media Center will cost $14,000 and HP is hoping to get the PC sales kicking for this year’s holiday.
