The Porn Trader is an adults-only file sharing network. It’s run by an advertising agency out of San Diego called Detour Interactive. The Porn Trader is for Windows, and only allows the sharing of JPEG files, no other file formats are permitted. The setup process asks for a name and email address, but does not seem to require your actual information. The network appears to be based on a centralized architecture with one or more gateway servers. Aside from an “I Promise I’m 18 or Older” button, there is no real age verification. Oddly, one of the search menu items is “Scat,” which is curious because depictions of human bodily functions are considered obscene and prosecutable by almost all jurisdictions. We found The Porn Trader to be quick, fun, packed with high-quality images and definitely worth a whirl.
