Ok, I have gathered a series of facts and info about the new Diet Kazaa from the beta users and the website.
These are the current features that are included in the new DK:
-new interface, new status window..
-now defaults to blocks ads and remove extra icons
-support for Kazaa 2.0 and KL 2.0
-blocks AltNet files properly
-stablizes Participation level to 1000 for Kazaa 2.0 (beta)
-option to auto remove Downloaded and Canceled files
-right click on DK tray icon opens Kazaa window (if loaded)*
-option to search for HQ (192) MP3s
-beta support for More Results with Kazaa 2.0
-completely free
According to some beta testers, the new DK also fixes an old problem located in its older version. When utilizing the browser under “start”, which now in the new KL is “Web”, the page is remembered when switched to a new tab and returned. For example, if I’m in google.com and click on My Kazaa, then return to the “web” tab, I am still under google.
Chip is currently working in fixing the following problems:
-Participation level goes back to 100
-The auto search (w/ a certain amount of times) is a bit faulty right now. It must be done manually.
-Pressing enter, in the quick search option, after typing what you want to search does not work. You must click “ok” with the mouse.
-DK DX does not remember the itemdelay settings
-DK DX standard values are way to low
-Only way to bring up DK when minimized is to right click and choose maximize
Along with these bug fixes, Chip says that there will be more features in beta versions to come.
