Courtney Love chickens out

Remember Courtney Love? Remember her lawsuit that she was determined to bring to trial? Remember how she was going to break the seven-year law and make life better for all artists?

Scratch that.

According to MTVNews, Courtney and Universal have reached a settlement, allowing Love to be released from her contract. Furthermore, the contract frees up the release of future recording of her husband’s band, Nirvana. The first album to be released will be titled simply Nirvana, a best of collection including the new song, “You Know You’re Right”, which was leaked onto P2P applications and eventually radio.

So much for artists helping themselves. Courtney only wanted to help herself. And, no, I’m not terribly surprised.
