A reuters report, found on iwon.com, saying “Free music downloading is hotter than ever, said researchers on Thursday who found more than 3 billion files were downloaded on four leading file-swapping services in August, topping Napster at its peak.” It counts a broad swath of applications with this survey, including FastTrack, Audiogalaxy, iMesh and Gnutella. FastTrack is the protocol which drives KaZaA, Morpheus, and more. Gnutella powers BearShare, LimeWire, and others. But good news nevertheless.
