BearShare 2.3.0 Beta 9 was realased for testing purposes only so its not ment for the general user. Besides having a huge GUI improvement from the shipping version, mp3 metadata and saved column settings Beta 9 is different in that it uses a special gnutella service provider. This is needed because this beta must be tested in a controlled enviroment. A success test could help out the rest of the gnutella network when it eventually ships. Check it out here.
