Today at USAToday.com: “Record companies see it as mutiny. Musicians call it an overdue rebellion. Either way, the artists’ rights movement has set the stage for combat that could revolutionize the music industry.” Apparently, artists are finally realizing that they are being screwed royally by the major labels. Jeez, apparently all this time they’ve been reporting royalties fradulently and signing artists to indentured servant contracts that last 8 or 9 albums. Hey, maybe it’s time to go with an indie label, or even better just market directly from artist to music fan. Behold the power of the internet.
