Dispite setbacks in the release of version 2.0 Blubster has topped 20,000 users online. This is most likely due to the return of college kids to school. And according to Slyck the release of the new version may only be a week or so away. It seems as if the delay is due more to the deal Blubster struck with McAfee than any technical problems. Also according to the Slyck story the non UDP connection seems to be all worked out. This would be great new for many college kids who at this time can not connect to Blubster because there college’s firewall or router by default blocks UDP. Many people have become impatient for the new version, but it looks like it maybe well worth the wait.
