At the time of writing there is little or no information on Streamcast’s websites regarding Morpheus 2.0 nor have there been any major reviews but here is what is now known about it:
- Morpheus 2.0 is based on Jtella. Jtella has not been updated for a year or 2. Like Limewire (but it does not use Limewire code) it is written in Java.

Morpheus 2.0 comes bundled with Paltalk (IM Software) and
McAfee. It does not come bundled with any harmful spyware - Contrary to some reports it is not impossible to upload with this client. However, some users have reported issue’s with uploading to some clients.
- This new version of Morpheus apparently doesn’t support Ultrapeers
Morpheus 2.0 has been generally poorly received by most users. It has been labelled as an outdated rip-off. So much for the hype regarding this release.
