PeerCast 0.108, the first version available for both Windows and Linux users, has arrived! As I expected, allot more channels are going on-line as a result. PeerCast 0.108 has a totally new HTML interface. You can do pretty much everything from your web browser now and leave the app’s window in the background or just hide it. If you like to get ‘under the hood’, you can even see the XML code that gets passed when channels are accessed (it’s basically channel names, hex IDs and other numeric information).
Yes, there are even links to the websites of channels that have them (one caveat to this feature – PeerCast does not create a separate browser window to display such websites, so you’d better do this yourself before hand if you don’t want to lose control of anything). The Windows GUI is pretty much the same as it’s been in previous versions. Download PeerCast 0.108!
