Limewire 2.5.3 has been released with the following changes:
- New browse host feature–even works through firewalls.
- Faster downloads: connects in parallel to several hosts.
- Download mesh support. Find alternate locations while downloading.
- Downloader checks for corrupt files by looking at overlapping
regions. - Increased download swarming by using “alternate location” data.
- Loads shared files much faster on startup (after initial load).
- Added Bitzi metadata lookup.
- Connects to the network more robustly.
- Throttles outgoing bandwidth for ultrapeers.
- Full support for file hashes in queries and replies.
- The Windows installer will save your properties between sessions.
- French and German versions are available.
