Are indie artists/labels rallying against RIAA, CARP?

Slashdot has a story about how independent music artists and smaller recording labels many be rallying against the RIAA, CARP and other organizations or copyright bills that claim their support for indie artists, but are really only supporting profit margins for the big five major record labels. The main focus of the Slashdot post is a an “Open Letter From Harvey Reid About Internet Radio (April 2002).”
