File Sharing programs are hitting back. Several methods are been used to stop fake files:
- Many file sharing programs like Bearshare now include strong filters.
- Other methods include weblinks to the hash code of files. This is in edonkey, available via a plug in to FastTrack (Kazaa, Grokster, iMesh) and will be in Blubster 2.0
- Morpheus 2.0 will include a rating mechanism that will allow users to identify fake files and a method of certifying users as legitimate users
