After 2 years of work in the darkness, the GNU/nsProject is ready to release the first file-sharing generic engine. The GNU/nsProject works with diferent protocols: centralized server style (like napster) or serverless (like GNUtella).
The first advantatge of GNU/nsProject is the posibility to add plugin’s with new transmision protocols.
The second one, is that you can control the bandwith of your connections (all of them: global or individual limitation)… and modify this bandwith on the fly, whenever you want.
Finally, the GNU/nsProject is under GNU/GPL license, so you can see that the GNU/nsProject doesn’t have any spyware.
The bad news is that the first functional release is not published yet and the web site is (at this moment) only in spanish. (Translate)
This project is hosted at DSL (Desenvolupament de Software Lliure, eng. Free Software Development).
