Streamcast Networks (Morpheus) along with Grokster Ltd and KaZaA BV (for now) are being jointly sued by the RIAA. Streamcast Networks ran into trouble last month when their attorney, who had a history of successfully fighting the record industry on technology issues, quit last month after StreamCast said it couldn’t afford his legal bills
StreamCast have now hired a new firm Brobeck Phleger & Harrison, who have considerable experience with intellectual property issues. Like Sharman Networks (KaZaA) they have also hired a lobbyist. Read the full story here.The FastTrack Suit reaches court October 1. Good luck Morpheus!
