Clip2 Selling Assets

JHVH1 informed me today that Clip2 is selling it’s assets and has shutdown it’s gnutella host servers. This is what he said: “Basically,
Bearshare (and I guess most of the other gnutella-based clones) hooks
you up
to Clips2 and Limewire first, then *these machines* hook you up to
other
users, as I understand it. With both machines down, Bearshare has to
try
other, lesser machines. Getting a couple of good connections so you
can get
out to +200-300 hosts takes about ten or twenty minutes. Also, the
number
of connections seems to “top out” at a lower number. As of a two weeks
ago,
I was averaging about 1000; now it seems more like 400/500.

Cheers,

JHVH1
