The extremely important verdict by a Dutch court recently that p2p file sharing was not illegal looks set to possibly be overturned. Remember this verdict was one of the main reasons that xolox came back. Now, just HOURS after Kazaa BV announced that it was conceding defeat against the USA RIAA case Buma/Stemra (Dutch version of the RIAA) have announced that they are appealing the verdict. It appears that Buma/Stemra, who are now aware that Kazaa BV is on the verge of bankruptcy, are using Kazaa BV’s state to try and over-turn the verdict. This is sick. The headline confirming this breaking story is here.
