Media Hint: Use Netflix, Pandora, Hulu and More from Any Country

Free extension for Chrome browser allow users to access online media streaming services regardless of geographic restrictions.

Media Hint is an awesome new and FREE extension for Google’s Chrome browser that allows users to access online media streaming services that are otherwise wouldn’t be available to them in their area because of geographic broadcasting restrictions.

“This extension allows you to access Internet media streaming services like Hulu, Netflix and Pandora from anywhere,” boasts the developer. “No additional set-up required. Install extension and you are ready to go.”

And just as promised, Media Hint does just that. Setup is no more involved than clicking the “Add to Chrome” tab and refreshing the page. From there just visit the streaming site that normally gives you the annoying “Sorry, not available in your area” message and watch as it no longer appears.

Case in point? Hulu, for example. Now I currently live in South Korea and all manner of US-based online media streaming sites are “unavailable in my area.” I normally resort to firing up a free VPN service  or a proxy browser extension, but the great thing about Media Hint is that you don’t have to worry about turning it on or connecting to a remote server. Media Hint is always running in the background so that you can just connect whenever you want without hesitation!

As an example, here’s before and after using Media Hint to watch “Modern Family” on Hulu.com.

Media Hint just works. No mess no fuss.

With Media Hint you can start using:

  • Hulu.com
  • Netflix.com
  • Pandora.com
  • Rdio.com
Now, at least in the case of Hulu, you still have to sit through boring ads interspersed throughout what you’re trying to watch, but it’s a small price to pay for being able to access your favorite TV shows and movies, especially if it’s the only way you can access them outside your country.

Stay tuned.
