Free Cydia app for jailbroken iPhones and iPads allows users to search Groupon deals in your area or any other you choose.
Everybody loves a good Groupon deal, and siriSearchGroupon is a Cydia app for jailbroken iPhones and iPads that makes finding one even easier. SiriSearchGroupon harnesses the power of Siri to make it as simple as saying “Groupon” to fetch the latest and greatest deal of the day.
Groupon, the “deal-of-the-day website that features discounted gift certificates usable at local or national companies,” and which also “features a daily deal on the best stuff to do, see, eat, and buy in 48 countries,” is for many a site checked on a regular basis to save money doing, seeing, and eating a variety of things that might otherwise normally be just a little too expensive to do.
SiriSearchGroupon allows you to use Siri’s voice commands to find Groupon daily deals in your area (or another if you wish) with little hassle. You have to mess with any Groupon apps or even login to the site. Just tell Siri “Groupon” and she does the rest.

Siri will search Groupon for the latest daily deals. Say “Groupon” and Siri will fetch the deals in your area. If it is your first use, Siri will ask you to select your location. Your location can be changed anytime by saying “Groupon Location”. Requires AssistantExtensions (Will Install Automatically). If Siri does not react at first go to Settings -> AssistantExtensions and enable siriSearchGroupon. There is no settings menu for this extension.
So how do you get it working on your iPhone or iPad? It’s easy.
1. Jailbreak your iOS device (if you haven’t already).
2. Open the Cydia app on your Springboard.
3. Search for siriSearchGroupon (or use this link).
4. Restart your Springboard.
It’s that simple.
AssistantExtensions will also be installed, and you’ll need to enable this plugin from “Settings.”
