Fashion App Go Try it On adds new features that allow users to add frames and filters to their photos, take that perfect picture and shop the looks of 40 different fashion bloggers.
For those that haven’t heard of Go Try it On, it’s a mobile app that allows its users to upload photos of themselves, add descriptions of the brands you are wearing and include context around the choice of the outfit (i.e. date, christmas party). Once uploaded, the community can then comment on the site and give feedback on various users’ outfits. Users can decide whether they want the community at large to critique, post on facebook or get advice from a professional. It’s a great tool to use if you really want to make sure you look your best, or heck, to flaunt your own personal style.
With their newest update, Go Try it On is adding even more interactivity to the app. Taking its cues from Instagram, Go Try it On is adding frames and filters to create a display of the user’s personal style. One of the best new features that Go Try it On added is a unique timer. Gone are the days where users have to take pictures of themselves in a mirror. The timer features now allows for a “photo shoot” where the users can strike that perfect pose to show off their clothes and personality. If that’s not enough, Go Try it On has also added a feature where users can create a collage of using their photos as well as styles that they love.
For those that don’t really want to be critiqued on their style choices, Go Try it On also has plenty of content where users can browse trending fashion pieces then shop for them at their various partner companies: Barney’s New York, Net-a-Porter, Sephora and more. If they don’t feel like buying, there’s the option of hearting a style to save for their own inspiration. There are plenty of users to derive inspiration from including 40 fashion bloggers. You can even shop your favorite blogger’s look.
Go Try it On is not the only fashion app out there, but it’s certainly the sleekest looking and, as opposed to Polyvore, focuses solely on fashion. The Button is another great fashion site for the fashion-conscious which focuses on personal style.
