Chromizer tweak for jailbroken iPhones and iPads gives the Google Chrome for iPhone app pull to refresh, full screen mode, and iPhone-styled tab switching.
Google launched a new Chrome browser for iPhones and iPads early last month and it quickly rocketed to the top of the iTunes free apps download chart, proving the legions of desktop Chrome browser users out there were anxious to finally get their hands on an iOS mobile version.
With Chrome for iPhone and iPad being so popular it’s worth mentioning a Cydia tweak for jailbroken iPhones that gives the Chrome app additional features and functions like pull to refresh, full screen mode, and iPhone-styled tab switching.
As the developer notes, Chromizer makes the Chrome for iOS app “an even better browser by adding adding the following features:
- Full screen mode (toggle with three finger tap)
- Pull to refresh
- Swipe with two fingers to go back and forward
- iPhone Style tab switching.
For the non-jailbroken iOS device crowd you’ll obviously not know what this means, but luckily I’ve written a guide to jailbreaking your iPhone that requires little effort and tech savvy to complete.
Once you’ve jailbroken your iPhone navigate to the Cydia store and search for “Chromizer.” One you find it install and respring your Springboard.
Chromizer is free and available in the ModMyi.com section of the Cydia store.
It’s that easy.
Stay tuned.
