Chrome browser extension allows you to remove unwanted Facebook baby pictures and replace them with images of your own choosing.
For some people, having to view endless pictures of other peoples babies on Facebook can be a form of cruel and unusual punishment, and there’s usually very little you can do except grin and bear it – until now.
I’ve already mentioned a number of ways to clean up the new Facebook, but Unbaby.me is different. Unbaby.me is a new extension for the Chrome browser that removes the seemingly endless onslaught of baby pictures posted by your Facebook friends and replaces them with images of your own choosing. Instead of baby pictures you can see images of cars, cats, trees, girls in bikinis, monster trucks, or anything else you might prefer to see instead.
As the developer exhorts, Unbaby.me “deletes babies from your newsfeed permanently––by replacing them with awesome stuff.”

“It’s pre-set up to replace them with cats, but if you hate cats, it’s easy to change it to pugs, or girls, or whatever you’re into,” they add. “Or use your own RSS feed, like Nasa’s POD.”
The extension is easy to configure and uses a series of keywords to trigger the image filtering feature.
You can add your own keywords…

…or remove the keyword filters that it has loaded by default.

“It’s not going to be perfect, so adding a baby’s name might help,” notes the developer.
As for replacement pics, as you can see in the picture below, just add whatever RSS feed or customized tag you want (i.e. “bikinis” via http://instagram.com/tags/bikini/feed/recent.rss)
I’d show a show a demo of my Facebook page, but I don’t think my family and friends would take too kindly to me filtering their “beautiful” baby pics, if even just for a friendly demonstration.
Stay tuned.
