ShazamTones: Use Shazam to Find & Download Free Ringtone for Any Song

Tweak for jailbroken iPhones allows you to use Shazam to find the name of an unfamiliar song and artist and then download the free ringtone for that song.

Shazam has long been one of the more popular apps for both Android and iOS devices, allowing users to find the name of an unfamiliar song and the artist who sang it with the tap of a button.

ShazamTones is a free Cydia tweak for jailbroken iPhones that builds on that functionality by allowing users to then download the ringtone of that song for free with just a few clicks.

So how does it work? It’s simple. Use Shazam just as you normally would do, tapping the button and holding the receiver close to the music source.

After Shazam finds the name of the song and the artist tap the new purple ringtone icon that appears to the right of the album as seen above.

ShazamTones will then take you to a list of ringtones that match that song. Scroll through and choose the one that best meets your criteria.

Now simply select “Add to My Ringtones” and you’re finished. Ringtones are downloaded using UnlimTones which is installed automatically when you download ShazamTones, but you will need to download and install Shazam if you haven’t already.

ShazamTones is free to download and can be found in the BigBoss repository on Cydia.

And if you haven’t jailbroken your iPhone yet, we have an excellent guide here at ZeroPaid.

Stay tuned.
