App now allows iPhone users to discover, buy and redeem Google Offers, along with other deals, on-the-go.
Last May Google Inc. may have launched Google Offers, its answer to Groupon and other deal-of-the-day services, in order to leverage the power behind its huge advantage in the online advertising business, but it hasn’t had an iPhone app available – that is until now.
“Today we’re announcing the new Google Offers app for iPhone,” says the Company in a blog post. “Now, iPhone users can discover, buy and redeem Google Offers, as well as deals from our partners, on-the-go.”
It launched a Google Offers Android app last November, and Groupon quickly responded with Android and iPhone apps of its own to meet the needs of customers looking to save money and redeem deals on-the-go.
Now Google Inc. has finally stepped up to the plate and given iPhone-toting deal seekers the same kind of functionality and convenience already enjoyed by their Android cousins for nearly 8 months now. It’s better late than never I suppose.
Some of the features of the Google Offers app for iPhone include:
- Instant savings, just around the corner: Quickly discover offers near you in map view or search for deals by category to easily find the right deal for you.
- See & use the deals you want, when you want them: All of your purchased and saved offers are tracked in “My Offers,” for easy access from your iPhone or online.
- Savings made simple: Instantly redeem most offers with your iPhone, without having to print vouchers.
- Never miss a great deal: Get notifications when new deals are available or when a deal that you’ve purchased or saved is about to expire.
The Google Offers app is great because it’s integrated with Google Maps, allowing you to browse nearby deals in map view and then purchase them directly from the app.
Like the Groupon app you can also use your phone to redeem deals without having to print them out and lug them around in your pocket like its 1995.
Stay tuned.
