Now, it’s time to look at a selection of other apps that can help you craft the perfect post even while away from a computer. The following apps cover different aspects of blogging, including writing, images, and recording videos, so whatever you want to post on your blog, your iPad won’t hold you back.

Writing and Editing

SplitBrowser – $1.99

SplitBrowser is the ultimate research tool: using this app, you can browse the web as normal, except it splits your iPad screen in two so you can view two web pages at the same time. Each web page has its own independent toolbar and you can use the app in portrait or landscape mode.

 

Posterous – Free

Posterous is a blogging platform that allows you to create ‘spaces’ to share posts with family, friends and the general population. Using the Posterous app, you can share text, photos and videos and publish to your spaces from your iPad. You can also keep track of comments and likes, and view other people’s posts directly from the app.

BlogWriter – $1.99

The BlogWriter app supports different platforms, including Microsoft Live Spaces, WordPress and Blogger. Using BlogWriter, you can create and edit text blog posts, insert images and geotags, and track your favorite blogs using the app’s RSS reader.

Analytics Pro provides real-time information from your Google Analytics account. As well as displaying stats for multiple websites, you can filter results by date, view graphs, export your stats to PDF, or print them using AirPrint. Using Analytics Pro, you can access the full range of data available through Google Analytics without having to log in through a browser.

Ego – $1.99

Ego is a third-party analytics service that gives you statistics on your websites, feeds and social media accounts. Compatible with services like Twitter, FeedBurner, Tumblr, and Vimeo, you can view all your important statistics in one place.
