Chrome extension removes most of Pandora’s advertisements, allows users to customize parts of the layout, creates a Pandora music player desktop window for playback control, scrobbles music to Last.fm, and more.
I’ve already mentioned a number of great Chrome browserextensions that give users an enhanced experience of several of the more popular free music streaming services out there. There’s the Last.fm Free Music Player that lets you stream music on-demand, and there’s Pandora for Chrome, the extension that allows you to control Pandora within your browser without ever having to visit the full site. Pandora Enhancer is the latest and greatest Chrome extension that I’ve stumbled across that does just as the name suggests.
With Pandora Enhancer you remove banner ads, video ads, and customize the layout. You can remove the promobox and extend Station List, tooltips, and the top ribbon. Notice before (on the left) and after (on the right) as shown below.

The best feature, and one that is sure to please many, is that it allows you to create a Pandora music player desktop window for easy playback control.
Other features include:
- Notifications for song changes with integrated player controls
- Song tracker bar on notification window
- Last.fm scrobbling
- Selectable lyrics with “copy to clipboard” link
- Skip “Are you still listening?” dialog
- Customizable notification display length
- Pandora’s volume icon (next to player controls) toggles mute on/off.
To enable or disable features go to “Extensions,” find Pandora Enhancer and select “Options.” Make your selections and click ‘Save” when you’re done.
Stay tuned.
