CopyTrans is AWFUL. 7 different apps that all crash in a slightly different way.

Songbird does not support iPods/Phones/Pads so it ISN”T an iTunes alternative is it?

Songbird has issues with lag, and closing. I suppose the lag could be due to the size of my music collection, but it shouldn’t really lag as much as it does. I ended up deleting it the same day. Every time I tried to use it, I had to go into task manager and force close several times. And yes, half of these programs don’t support ipods.

Well seeing as half of these don’t support ipod I really wouldn’t call them alternatives to itunes. Man I hate having apple products.

Songbird DOES NOT SUPPORT IPODs !!! It used to back in 2007 and CopyTrans is filled with Adware. Please update your article.

Just FYI : Songbird has a plugin architecture that allows for third party developers to add to it, and there are already device plugins for many media players – among them the iPod (so probably iPhone and maybe iPad too if only for music).It’s a very nice app and I’ve installed it for friends and family as an iTunes alternative if they’ve had issues with Apple’s installer under Windows.
