@guiyommm Any chance I could have it then. I'm currently building music collection again. After my 300gb hdd died with all my music on. Which ranged from the 1970's until now. [email protected]
I love What.CD they have awesome speeds with loads of seeds and not too many leechers. Their content is amazing - they virtually have all the songs in the world. I agree with "woah there" on "All these what.cd haters are angry because they can’t get an invite." this is true and i agree also that What.CD is the BEST music tracker out there!
BTW: Alex SHUT UP - What.CD is the best, just because you can't get a invite. :@
All these what.cd haters are angry because they can't get an invite. I been on for 6 months now and there have only been a few times where I was unable to find something I was looking for (as in 2 or 3 times). Oh, and it's fast as hell because the community actually seeds what they snatch. Amazing site and a helpful community. Seriously the best.
I was a power user on oink with a good ratio when it got shutdown and missed the signup for waffles and what.cd when they popped up instead. How can I get an invite> I mourn the loss of Oink everyday!
what.cd is a nice place.. i have found amples of good stuff.. the only downfall is Various Collections.. they are not seeded much.. but pictular bands and solo artists are..
I recently got invited to What.cd and it is the most awesome site to download mucis by far. No other site has the quality of music that What.cd does. I recently just got a fast connection, which has made this much better then I thought it could be.
It can be difficult to maintain your ratio sometimes; it depends on your computer use habits. There are loads of tips on the website as to how to help yourself, and it shouldn't be too hard to find an album that is obscure enough to upload, or upload in another format.
Upload an unique album and get a friend to download it from you. this way you get 100% of the upload credit, whereas it can be more difficult if you download albums that are seeded by 50 or more people.
what.cd is amazing. I wouldn't be able to afford the amount of music I have, and I buy the albums I like.
If you combined the music content of every public torrent tracker into one, you still wouldn't match the content on what.cd. It is THE largest music tracker, period. Whether you are comparing it to demonoid, waffles, rutracker (previously torrents.ru) any other russian sites, supertorrents, torrentleech, any of the electronic music trackers like torrentech, killawaves, db9, globalnoises. I guarantee you, what.cd takes the cake. There is only one downside on what.cd which can be a big problem for some people, and it is the difficulty in maintaining your ratio. This is a very competitive community, and the members with seedboxes or just insane bandwidth tend to hog most of the action. If your upload speeds can't keep up, then you must either add new content to the tracker, download sparingly while seeding as much as possible, or wait for the freeleeches.
The smartest thing to do is only download rare content from what. If you can download it somewhere else, do it, because this is the hardest place to match downloading with uploading.
The site is fine. They have a reasonable number of torrents up, and it's generally well-ripped and well-maintained.
The users are absolute morons. Almost all of them seem to be between the ages of 12 and 24, and the moderators and staff deserve to get AIDS, suffer with it for a few years, and then get torn apart by farm machinery. Talkin' to you Theseus!!!
Take the test (it's easy), use the resources, and avoid contact with any of the sub-human freaks that troll the forums.
What.cd is the best online torrent community for music downloads and music conversion applications. It is NOT invite only, you can get in by doing a long and hard interview to prove yourself. I did. I studied for 1 hour and failed the test the first time, then studied another 3 hours and passed. the test can only be taken 3 time, so make sure you study up. They will provide you with the study materials.
just google 'what.cd interview' and there is a step by step on how to start it up in your irc client.
Knowing what the test asks you is important, it insures that we only have educated folk that will maintain quality music in anything from 250 kbps to flac.
If you do pass the test you will understand all that I mean, it is more than a torrent site, it is a community.
What.cd is invite only currently and it is very easy to get kicked out if you dont keep a certain ratio, upload transcodes, or anything that is not legit. I am on this site and it is amazing!
Hi, I really want to get on to what.cd
I'm totally familiar with the ratio I need to maintain and am happy to upload tons.
I work for a small record label based in Vancouver.
Please invite me.
I was told what.cd is the shit and now I run into it again... but I still can't loqin/get in. Did it just become invite only? OR Am I an idiot? I want in... Anyone?
