I'm currently listening to a 1995 radio interview with Townes Van Zandt - probably the best folk music songwriter ever - whose music is never knowingly played on UK mainstream radio stations. I have been on here for 3 + years now and the site is great, and yes full of live and bootleg material. It's quality over quantity, so no MP3 garbage.
