The pop up adds on this site have spyware and a virus the site admin will just ask for money to stop them or want many torrents with there name on them since the site is very small most people never heard of them so he needs people to put h33t in the torrent name no is that lame or what…. Try Mini or Demon for real torrents and mods that know what they are doing

There is absolutely no spyware, viruses or similar on his site, and never has been, as has been verified by others such as DutchWolf for example.
Only detractors and competitors, and similar greedy snouts are making all the false claims.

I’ve been at H33t, almost from the start and it’s a great site to get my comics….
A lot of other sites/torrenttrackers have textfiles with the ad “tracked by/from …..” ant there are a lot worse with passwords, to get from xxx-sites. etc

1. I’ve made several releases that the mods have shot down, only to find them reposted by one of their power users (i’m looking at you Original)
2.. The pop-ups, pop-unders and re-directs are rediculous.
3. Theres always messages in my inbox from the Owner begging for money

h33t has been my home for 2 years now. never have i met a more friendly and knowledgeable staff than at h33t. we have no rules! only standards to guide us. there is no ratio keeping, let the filesharing spirit be your guide!
the popup ads ARE quite obtuse – but they are very easy to avoid – i never see them…

I have been a member of h33t for some time now, and have had no difficulty.
I post a lot of torrents which I post on other sites as well, and I find h33t to be one of the easiest to interact with and one with which I have the least amount of difficulty. Admin and members have been helpful and of great support with questions about how what and where to find or accomplish things.
Bottom line is that h33t is a great community and I have seen no evidence what so ever of the kinds of things that others here have complained about, with the exception of some of the small details that are consistent at many of the other sites as well.
As I mentioned, I am a member of half a dozen other sites/communities as well. I have nothing disparaging or negative to say about any of them. However, for what its worth h33t is the main site that I post my torrents on.
I was blessed to’ve stumbled upon h33t quite by accident, and became a member a year ago (05-31-2008, to be exact). I’ve found the citizens (mods, mega-uploaders and run-of-the-mill members alike) to be a fantastic bunch. The site is beautifully orchestrated and a pleasure to stroll through. I can only assess most of the derogatory remarks above to be the mindless meanderings and footless carping of a jealous and mean-spirited few. I encourage people to try h33t for themselves. Walk around a bit. Kick the tires. Chat up the locals. Like me, you may realize you’ve found a home….

I m a H33T member, and just like it, full descriptions and screenshots helps u to know more about that thing you want to download !! Also the site support the companies, many times just found expresions like,,if u like it, buy it,, and trying it more you can learn how to use it and to know his real importance, for example if i really like some artists i will buy their albums, for my personal collection, but before maybe didn t know what kind of music they plays.

I like the torrents just none of the junk AIO files but the pop ups are why I wont go back people here can say what they want pop ups have tracking cookies to grab IP address and yes they can have spy ware read other boards they all say the same thing about h33t. The site admin loca something has allot to learn about dealing with people if that little site is ever going to be Demonoid Jr he or she will need to grow with the times and treat uploaders with respect. I will help you out other sites that are in the top 10 I think you are 1006 let people upload if there is a problem than a warning if it happens again BAN no one needs a coach there first and last time on a site. I am a member of H33t. There the best, I have never had any problems with them. No viruses or spyware as posted above. I support H33t 100%. I have been to several other sites H33t is the best. I guess when someone starts bashing you its because you are better than they are. And they dont like being number 2.
h33t has been good to me from the start. I must have messaged the mod five or six times because of my own lack of technical skills, they never once complained. Also, just so some of you know, viruses are very difficult to put in movies, ads, etc yeah, but not viruses, but then again by now any body on the net would be running anti-virus software anyway. Also, On h33t, I never see private next to all the best movies…check mini-nova…you’ll see what I mean. As far as running ads,a one second click on the X and poof they’re gone. Um, FYI both Demonoid (aka ‘Demon’) and h33t require their .txt file be included to upload an internal torrent to the site using their tracker. and you can upload external torrents if you want to either without it using any other public tracker. No big deal either way.
I upload torrents to h33t and several other sites too (demonoid, tpb, 1337x, mininova, etc). Of all of them, h33t has one of the best layouts, similar to Demonoid in that it lets me post screenshots (instead of just links to screenshots like mini & tpb) from my videos in the torrent descriptions. That’s a big plus for anyone considering whether to download or not.
I’ve never experienced any problems at all with h33t, and the site staff (mods) that I’ve dealt with personally have been nothing but top notch.
I don’t really like to pick favorites between the public trackers, but I can’t think of anything at all negative to say about h33t.

I’ve called H33T my home for more than a year and i half…i was helped and guided on my way to uppuing my first torrent there way back…only top notch torrents there too, detailed instructions and loads of pics, you can’t ask for more than that….
oh, BTW, my firefox doesn’t display ads or popups, which i doubt exist anyway, but yours shouldn’t either if your looking for torrents

I have been a member of h33t.com for a year or more and am very happy with the site. Demonoid has exactly the same problem with uneducated users screaming “VIRUS!” every 5 seconds. If theses people don’t understand ‘false positives’ they are in too deep and should stick with social network sites, no viruses there. (hehehe)
I can’t comment on the alleged pop-ups as I use Firefox with AdBlock Plus so I have never seen them.

H33T.com is the first place I look for something and I almost always find it there. If it isn’t listed, I just ask in the forums and it gets uploaded pretty quickly. They are some of the friendliest people online.

H33t has been straight and clean for more than 3 1/2 years that I’ve been associated with it. Sure, I’ve donated a few dollars to it whern I’ve had it, but I’ve had 3 wstrokes and a quadruple
CABG and they have helped me when my mind goes blank and I’m unable to keep things straight in my head. I’m in my middle 60’s and they treat me as if I was one of the group. They are very nice folks, caring, and thorough in the work they do. they don’t allow junk on their system and are gentle with their rebukes the first time or two that you make mistakes or attempt to pawn off crap (pls excuse the word) on their system. They take pride in their work and if there are people that can’t agree with their high standards, they are excused from the system…those are the people that generally bad mouth H33T…the losers.

h33t is the simply the only site I get all my torrents from. Without a doubt its by far the SAFEST, FRIENDLIEST and Support orientated site I’ve come across….and I’ve been using torrents from like 6 years ago..
ALL torrents are checked out. If a torrent is BAD, action is taken very quickly to take care of it by Admin. They keep you informed so it helps.
The pop ups are expected…its another revenue thats needed to make h33t survive! duh. I rather deal with pop-ups then download some bullshit torrent that claims to be what it is..then turns out it isnt! and waste my time
h33t only asks for donations at your free will. Yet you are still have access to like 95% of the site, and membership is free geez, what else do ya want ??

I think that the overwhelming response from all the H33T fans speaks for itself. Those few who are slating it are talking rubbish. Sure there are other good torrent sites out there, but none of them compare to H33T. What an example of what a great community of people we have there who absolutely love this site.

You got that wrong. Most Moderators on h33t are experienced uploaders. It’s the friendliest tracker there is out there.

You need to be careful on any file sharing site. Having said that, h33t is at the top of the list of torrent sites and yet h33t is one of a kind. Some of the best uploaders around are native to h33t. If there is something worth downloading it will be listed on h33t. I seldom go anywhere else to download files.

Problems with h33t?
Must be a complete noob if you cannot figure out how to get rid of ads. As for requesting money, you are getting your games/films/apps free aren’t you? So why not help the guys that actually get these together in one place to make your life easier. Because, as sure as eggs is eggs, you ain’t gonna have what it takes to do an advance search engine string to find them for yourself.
Dunno what firestarter is nattering on about…it sounds like the kind of bashing banned members of so many sites do. I’ve been using h33t since 10/07 and never even seen a popup or redirect, but then I actually know how to configure a browser so that I don’t. Perhaps it’s a question of knowledge and competence, eh?
I run NOD and Adaware on everything I get from ANYWHERE, before it’s opened, then afterward once again. To my recall I’ve not run across nearly as many issues with h33t D/Ls as with some other sites. Some of which are named in this thread. For my money it’s a good site. Yeah, the folks ask for donations … so do most others whether P2P or not. Despite the folks trashing h33t in here I plan to continue my affiliation with them. But with only twenty five years as a PC tech what would I know?

The website layout is awful and the site owner (lacadaemon) is rude. As far as I remember some of his moderators were on here ages back messing up other sites ratings by changing their IP address over and over to revote them down and put h33t up to the top.
I’m sorry but h33t is simply not the best torrent website around, a 10 year old could design a nicer looking website. Get it a proper designer guys, someone who’s actually good with Photoshop and older than 17!
Whats a better site?
The site is nothing special it has the same torrents as the rest they don’t have any torrents that would make them stand out but if you belong to a ratio site go here and I bet someone has the external. H33t has a really nice variety of torrents and the majority are really good quality. My only (minor) complaint is lack of posts by people downloading files to inform others about sound/video quality.

h33t has changed for the better over the past few years. The only problem I've encountered is I've lost the ability to signin with my old account username and thus lost the ability to audit my old torrent uploads.. No big deal. Overall its a nice site.
