Yeah I’m having the same problem and I have donated a lot to that site. It’s weird because up at my college I can access it, but back home I can’t. It doesn’t recognize the hostname, so maybe it’s an IP issue not sure. It redirects me to a google search engine saying “Oops! Google Chrome could not find bitsoup.org”, so when I click access cached memory it’s a snapshot of Oct. 13, 2011 (my last login). Maybe someone should get an admin over here and maybe shed some light on it?

Been pretty quiet here for the past 2 months.
I guess no leechers or ratio cheaters have been “unfairly” banned recently.
I lost my password and username after a C drive crash (thanks to SP1). When I tried to log back on I to replace my password by typing in my email. two days later no email arrives. Have checked my spam folder and junk mail – Nothing. I’ve also repeated the process 4 times but nothing has changed in a week.
Ratio was at 2.6ish so no problem with that. Does someone have a solution as it appears I have NOT been banned but am having a technical glitch. Thanks

Hey DH,Or other Bitsoup staff, looks like the dreaded 403 FORBIDDEN is back. Could you give us a quick update? (And hopefully I’m not banned for some reason =P )
Bitsoup is not down and the ONLY recent downtime we had is a 1h power outage at the hosts facilities 2 days ago which remains to be beyond our control. Aside from that all has been running fine up to and including a constant of at least 200k active connections to the tracker. Considering these facts I’d suggest that perhaps you entertain the thought that these issues you claim to experience are caused by something else other then our end of things.

I am in the same boat here… I have donated money to the site as I wanted to keep it going, and left my computer running for months on torrents as my crappy ISP throttles upload. I had a ratio of at least 1.5. Anyway… my comp died on me and I have been too busy to fix it, so I think it may have been over a month between logins for me. I totally forgot to log into the site to stop being deleted. I cannot find anyway to contact an admin to plead my case. I know my past ratio is probably lost, but I would gladly donate some cash again to get back on the site. Bitsoup has been my favorite place to download for years! I love it. If anyone has an email address or some way to contact an admin on the site I would greatly appreciate it. SUX2BU, I know you are a great supporter of the site, might even be an admin as well (can’t say I remember if you were an admin or not). I have loved your uploads for years!. I have always Maintained a Good atleast 1:1 Ratio ON bitsoup My Ration was getting down to about .8 and so I donated because I moved and crashing with a buddy of mine, so it’s harder to upload at times. That was two days ago. Today I get 403 Forbidden. I have been a member of Bitsoup for almost 4 years now and Totally uncalled for.

and me I’ve got the same problem been on bitsoup a few years, but the past 2 or so weeks i can’t get back in, when i click on it in my bookmarks i get a page saying HTTP Forbidden 403 error. can anyone help me out and let me know how i can get back in
i was on bitsoup and i was having problems it kept saying invalid passkey and my ratio was going up and then dropping i was getting warnings but was asking staff for advice now all i am getting is error 403 unauthorised ip address can someone please tell me how to get back in because i think that is the best site

error 403 unauthorised ip address. To get around this all you need to do is change your ip address and create a new account. search google for help

OMG! I too am locked out of bitsoup…what gives? On June 30th I tried to log in and have had my account for at least 2 years…now suddenly, I’m getting this error HTTP Forbidden 403 error, –but why??? This sucks so much…Any ideas as to how I can get reconnected to the site, I can’t even get to the home page…I get an error page instead. Help?!

went on bitsoup and it is logged in but it wont let me open my messages or browse or see my profile dont know if ive been banned because my ratio was dropping because been having problems with downloads saying invalid passkey but ratio has started to go up again now please help because it said there was an autotolt error as well

Seriously, I just said adios to DragonFart (or was it DragonHeart) after being fed up with their Fascism, threats of banning, constant bold print reminders to FOLLOW THE RULES, blah, blah.
