I heard once that Kazaa considers if "theft of service" to uswe Kazaa ++/Kazaa Lite and avoid their banner ads and adware. I used it for a long time with proxies, to avoid being traced, so that Kazaa could not get me for theft of service. I finally said f*** this and started using legal music and movie services, like Rhapsody and Netflix. I got tired of having to wait up to 2 hours for a music download or 15 hours for a movie download, just to avoid being traced and criminally prosecuted by Kazaa on theft of service charges. While the RIAA will generally just want to take all your money, Kazaa would likely persue crminial charges, with penalties of up to 5 years, depending on the state. Be careful.
