KaZaA Lite is a hacked version of the original KaZaA Media Desktop that was created by users who were angered by the network's inclusion of secretly embedded spyware and adware in the software. Last comment about kaZaZ Lite was made last year, is the Network even still running? I can't get connected = ( used to be cool though probs not working cause bit torrent is not in the scene |

For those complaining about Kaza lite, here are a few tips:
It takes some time to connect on the first time, but once you are connected, keep a few hard to find files (those that say more resources needed) in your download queue, even if you never download them. This helps you connect almost instantly the next time around as the program now has some addresses to look up and boot from.
2) the most common problem about downloading files is being behind a router, and I suspect many of the people having difficulty connecting are either behind a router or else have thier firewalls configured incorrectly.
If you are behind a router, you might find plenty of files to download when you search, but very few sources will actually connect when you try to download. It is worthwhile to disconnect your router and connect directly through the modem while you are downloading. I download only once a month or so, and connect my computer directly to the modem during those days. The speed is amazing without a router.
3) I have never had a problem with firewalls. I use norton, and K-lite works fine with it.
FOr what its worth, K-lite is still the speed champ, and for this reason alone, it is worth keeping around.. I have had 10 mb files download in seconds, at speeds up to 250 - 300 kbs. I recently downloaded an entire 1.2 Gb movie in under an hour. |

The so-called new improvedKazaa Lite ought to be deleted from every system in the world and all backups destroyed and the ppl who sold out to the system ought to be jailed. 1 is the lowest rating I can give it, unfortunatley. Frankly it deserves a -10 |
