I'm going to try and put up a daily thought (Life permitting). A daily pearl of wisdom, if you will, some food for thought. Input is welcomed.

    Todays daily thought for 5-10-03....

When we are young, our mirrors reflect our outer appearance. Later,
mirrors seem to reflect also the inward self. Worry and joy can etch
themselves into our facial expressions; anger or love can gaze out from
our eyes. If we have refused to forgive, our bitterness stares back at us.
If we have chosen to isolate ourselves, our loneliness is there. But if our
choices have been openness, humor, and understanding, all of these
clearly shine out for all to see.

Each day, without realizing it, we are making choices for behaviors and
thoughts that will help create either a serene and joyful face or an old
and worried one. The choice is ours.

Today, I choose healthy looks, actions, and feelings.

    Today's Daily Thought for Mother's Day ...

Being in charge of what we dwell on is easier than we might imagine.
We can practice the art of focusing our minds on the positive. Begin by
stopping a thought, any thought, in mid-sentence. Think, instead, of
how lucky we are to be alive. Focus on a blessing that is obvious
today. Anytime an unhealthy thought surfaces, drop it, replacing it with
a blessing. This can become a way of life if we make the choice.

We have felt enough pain and experienced enough harm. Today can be
much better. And it will be if we carefully select our thoughts.

I am as happy as I truly want to be today. No one can steal peacefulness
from me if that's what I really want.

I have a book and a site I get them from. I re-word some of it to fit or I read them and take what I get out of it and word it myself.

    People are like stained-glass windows.
They sparkle and shine when the sun is out,
but when the darkness sets in,
their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within.

When we are young, our mirrors reflect our outer appearance. Later,
mirrors seem to reflect also the inward self.

    heh exactly
a reflection of ones own motives in essence. hehe
the idea or thought to seek out and enjoy new things is what I would have to say that can make a big difference.

a mirage of the inner self creates a delusion.
    -----------------------------------------------
If someone ever ponders the thought for a moment and realized that if they actually look in ther mirror they are actually seeing a semblence of there true self. Then you repeat it time and time again.

    weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
    ---------------------
now I would think that if someone looks in the mirror and says to them self hmm damn u look good. hey you look good. when i look in the mirror i am like woe* sure i am looking good then i figure its time to really reflect on my age lol.
so after looking at the mirror for quite a long time you whole thinking pattern changes.
    haha
    a reflection of a mirror=
your true self inside and outside

    ------
yeah and i love every bit of the way i am. well thats what i do or gather from when looking in the mirrors.

these views expressed are expressed for the intention to express a feeling of woe*. nah for a feeling of free expression it may not make sense but hell who cares.
it will make u think at least *even though it wont make sense*

    now peace

    Daily Thought for today (5/12/03)

    Subject: Cracked Pot

A water bearer in China had two large pots, each

hung on the ends of a pole, which he carried across his neck. One of

the pots had a crack in it, while the other pot was perfect and

always delivered a full portion of water.

At the end of the long walk from the stream to the

house, the cracked pot arrived only half full. For a full two

years this went on daily, with the bearer delivering only one and a

half pots full of water to his house. Of course, the perfect pot was proud

of its accomplishments, perfect for which it was made. But the poor

cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that

it was able to accomplish only half of what it had been made to

do. After 2 years of what it perceived to be a bitter

failure, it spoke to the water bearer one day by the stream. "I am ashamed

of myself, and because this crack in my side causes water to

leak out all the way back to your house."

The bearer said to the pot, "Did you notice that

there were flowers only on your side of the path, but not on

    the other pot's side?

That's because I have always known about your flaw,

and I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every

day while we walk back, you've watered them.

For two years I have been able to pick these

    beautiful flowers

to decorate the table. Without you being just the

way you are, there would not be this beauty to grace the house".

Moral: Each of us has our own unique flaws. We're

all cracked pots. But it's the cracks and flaws we each have

that make our lives together so very interesting and

rewarding. You've just got to take each person for what they are, and look

    for the good in them.

Blessings to all my crackpot friends.
