o.k so I have an mp3 and a cue with the individual tracks and related info in it.
I need to break up the mp3 in the proper format (ie individual tracks)
Alcohol Says its an unsupported file cue file type.
Nero cannot load the cue to burn.

How can I break this up to its original state (at least into seperate files)

The goal is to take them and add them to my media library.

PLEASE dont tell me just to stick it in and use it anyways.
If I wanted to just play the whole mp3 or did not care about the specific tracks
I would have obviously done it myself.
An entire album in one mp3 is a shitty way to store an album
especially when the supposed cue for it does not work.

Last is I am surprised it has a cue because its not an image file.

Thanks guys in advance, I have really been going insane over this one

You can use musiCutter (http://musicutter.host.sk) to split it if you have the cue sheet.Ive used it in the past quite successfully.Been a while though so I cant remember exactly how you do it....Hope that helps..

    Will try it.

Would appreciate anymore feedback if anyone knows the solution/s

i don't expect to find this information here and a lot of times people are posting stuff (like this) that at the time when its originally posted in this case 2 years ago I had no use for but later on I may run into whatever it was the person posting about already knew about and was aware.

I wouldn't have known what to search for as I didn't know this method or thread for that matter exists...random bumpings do help me, so thanks.

Most cue sheets are from vinyl rips, trance, techno releases or live recordings. No gaps in the songs what so ever. Its good and serves its purpose. But the NFO file will tell you each song but to search that song out and play it can be a hassle. Always good to cut it to listen to it before burning.

And im sure moneoa has been waitng ever so patiently all this time for someone to help him out with the problem which is no longer a problem.

If you can't find an answer you should always ask, not wait two years for some random bump of an old thread for no good reason. Happy it helped you and all but 99% of the time its a waste of time.

If random bumps help you out you should seek medical attention.

Edit: moneoa snuck a post in on me!
