Tryouts for B.C.'s inaugural lingerie football team took place in Richmond, B.C., on Friday.

The women handed over headshots before their speed, strength and agility were put to the test.

The B.C. Angels is one of four Canadian franchises starting up this year with the Lingerie Football League. The women, dressed in little else but their undergarments, will take the field in Abbotsford this summer.

As the CBC's Renee Filippone reports, with 12 teams in the U.S. the sport is seeing growing success — but not without some controversy.

Yeah, I'm sure all the horndogs in the audience are totally in it to see the women's athleticism.

In this league, "muffing" a punt takes on a different meaning.

One of the local Lingerie Bowl participants works at the Applebees down the street from me. She walks like she could hurt someone.

    I can only dream . . .
