EL SEGUNDO, Calif., June 13 (UPI) -- Police in El Segundo, Calif., say an anti-drug activist was arrested after he allegedly sold an undercover officer what he said were drugs.

The Los Angeles Times said Saturday that police have accused Over the Wall Foundation director Kendall Craig Farris of selling what he claimed was methamphetamine and ecstasy tablets to an undercover officer.

Authorities said the items allegedly sold by the 47-year-old founder of the Marina del Rey anti-drug program turned out to be fake.

Farris was being held on $106,500 bail on charges of selling a substance that he alleged was drugs following Thursday's arrest.

    Wow... that was sad.

So you can be arrested for selling placebos as drugs? Can't see how he did anything wrong, unless we are all of a sudden protecting society from fake illegal drugs.

    I think it's called: Intent.

Well, the intent was obviously not to sell narcotics,
so I guess they're going to have to go with fraud unless
they have a bizarre law that criminalizes placebos.

there's got to be more ethical and effective means of being anti-drug. this was plain stupid.

Could also be a case of "misunderstanding" like it was with John DeLorean.

..or the anti-drug program had run into a slight financial difficulty and he just couldn't leave his ethics out to dry, hence sale of placebos instead the really good stuff.:fing02:
