The 6.3 inch and 5.8 inch Samsung Galaxy Mega “phablet” will hit shelves in Europe and Russia around May. After months of speculation, Samsung has finally confirmed the arrival of a new sub-brand of the Galaxy, the Galaxy Mega. The Galaxy Mega expands Samsung’s line of mini-tablet-sized phones (“phablets”) with the release of two new screen sizes proving once again that Samsung has no problem testing out any screen size. These new devices will measure 6.3 and 5.8 inches respectively and “offers a mix of popular smartphone and tablet features such as an effortless user experience, a split screen, multitasking between video and other apps and more.

With the iPhone coming to T-Mobile on April 12th, the phone service provider hopes to boost new customers with trade-in offers. Last year, T-Mobile lost around 2.1 million monthly contracts, due in part to its poor smartphone implementation. In order to regain back those lost contracts, T-Mobile has dispensed with the typical smartphone subsidies and will offer a new approach to wireless service. The timing couldn’t be better as T-Mobile will finally begin offering the iPhone on April 12th according to their news release. T-Mobile has gone a long way to rebrand their image as the “uncarrier.

Android-based portable home gaming system, the OUYA, ships out to early Kickstarter Backers and will hit shelves this summer. Back in July 2012, Julie Uhrman started a Kickstarter to crowd-fund her project, the OUYA. For those that are unfamiliar with the project, the OUYA is an Android-based portable home gaming system. Uhrman was hoping to raise $950,000, but after a month, she walked away with almost $8.6 million in funding from 63,000 backers. Uhrman has announced that today the very first OUYA consoles are shipping out to the early backers. The little console might seem like the underdog among the established console market, but it sports some rather impressive features.

Amazon denies rumors that they will cut the price of the 7-Inch Kindle Fire HD model to $99, but does not refute the possibility of a new $99 model. In order to expand their customer base in the US and abroad, Amazon has already reduced the prices of their popular 8.9-inch Kindle Fire HD tablets earlier this month. The WiFi version for the 8.9-inch has dropped to $269 while the LTE version is now down to $399. While these prices are fairly competitive in the American market, the Kindle Fire has been losing ground to many of the low-cost Android tablets priced as low as $79. After Amazon lowered their prices on their current tablets, rumors have spread that Amazon is going to release a new 7-inch Kindle Fire HD for $99 at some point this year.

Sifteo comes out with their newest generation of interactive gaming cubes that allow users to add or subtract cubes to build changing game boards, world maps and more. Mobile gaming has taken over the gaming market by storm due to its accessibility to broad audience and its interactivity. Sifteo is, in some ways, the next generation of mobile gaming. Unlike its other mobile competitors, Sifteo offers different gaming experiences when additional cubes are added. The Sifteo was introduced a year ago and while the basics are pretty much the same, there have been some notable changes. One of the biggest changes is that Sifteo now can play independently from a computer.
