I actually love the BearShare application because it's fast and nice. However, it has this hidden stuff. It's protocol isn't really Gnutella, the searches differ from Gnutella, Bears cluster. Now and then, you see transfers remotely paused when you didn't do it, and fake search results which can't be downloaded. It forces you to update.. and such.. So, get the Pro version cracked, use it and be happy, but don't trust it too much :) Don't use the new v6 which isnt Bearshare (only same name)!

personally i have had no problems with this and if u would google bearshare crack u would find the crack for the newest version of bearshare pro with i dont indorse or condone

You guys who R having problems must have crappy Machines or poor skills I found hard 2 find files and spyware is NOT an issue here

Unlike Morpheus and LimeWire, Bearshare works without expanding on your hard drive and taking up space...Warning...Morpheus and LimeWire will exapand in size from 20 to 30 megabytes to 20,000 to 30, 000 MBs...it has happened to me 4 times from both programs on different computers....No spyware or Malware with Bearshare either....have fun

Bearshare is a very incorrigible program and is in dire need of strict dicipline. It comes with adware/spyware which I managed to eradicate, but it still wastes my very limited bandwidth trying to download BSInstall5.2.1.1.exe when I did not tell it to do such. Also, it nags with random questions when you try to exit the program. If I had a software version of a heavy whip, I would not spare it with Bearshare.

so..... no answers on the 176 thing yet?....it appears to me to be a trick to suck you in by showing how good it is then trying to get you to buy the other version...freaking software nazis.....dammit

I used Bearshare for 5 months then all of a sudden it said I had a Error #176 It deleted all the songs and movies that I download. If you do download you might want to save your music and movies in another file in case it crashes.
