video problem and conversion question
Hi all
I have 2 questions:
1) is it possible to transfer an avi file into vcd without first converting avi moives that i have downloade from kaza to mpeg file? I know avi files had to be converted to mpeg 1 file, then convert them to vcd using nero. So my question would it be possible to skip conversion of avi file to mpeg file? if so can anyone please tell me how?
2) I have downloaded an avi file. However, when i played it using micrososft's media player, the video/picture became like scrambled tv movies. The audio is there and perfect, and the content is there, but the picture is scrambled. Does anyone know what seems to be the problem with the picture? if so please help me how to fix it.
Thank you

1. No
2. Just one file or all files are having this issue?

nero is not a converter.. u can just convert an avi to vcd or svcd.. then burn it wit nero.. i recommend using the mpeg encoder from www.mainconcept.com
if u look hard enough u can find the serial to get rid of the watermark..

I use Cleaner XL, because my company bought it for me, it works awesome for any video as does cleaner 6.0 for OSX.

Again, Nero doesn't convert anything. A good place to start is to take the .avi file and convert it to .mpg with tmpgenc. Then all you have to do is burn a vcd with nero. Simple as that. Here is a guide:
http://www.dvdrhelp.com/tmpgenc.htm
You don't have to follow it exactly, but it's a good basic guide.
If you are having problems with video, then follow this guide:
